Rue Lepic
2 mills survivors who compose "Le Moulin de la Galette" : "Le Blute-Fin" and "Le Radet"

Le Radet at No. 83 was built in 1717. Debray's family acquired the two mills in 1809 and made flour in 1870, it was transformed into an inn on Sundays and public holidays, then it takes the name of "Moulin de la Galette ", a victim of progress (it was not equipped with wings Berton) and competition.

This sign will be transferred to their nearest neighbor Le Blute-Fin. Association "Les Amis du Vieux Montmartre" saves him from destruction in 1915.
In 1924, its owner moves the mill to the corner of the rueGirardon and Lepic.
In 1960 it was completely rebuilt and restored in 1978.
In October 2001, Marcel Charron, carpenter-amoulageur, is responsible for the renovation of the wings.

Rue Lepic (formerly rue de l'Empereur)

Opposite at the rue Tholozé, between n° 75 and n° 77, Le Blute-Fin, built en 1622,has often been restored. He is currently in a private property. By visiting we were pleasantly surprised to find that it is not too bad and that important parts of the mechanism like the wheels still exist. In the past, Nicolas-Charles Debray, mill owner Blute-Fin, added a tavern and a ball and baptized all the "Moulin de la Galette".

From 1886 to 1888, Vincent and Théo Van Gogh stayed at n° 54.

From 1895, Jehan Rictus lived at n° 64 (see below).

Louis Lepic (1765 - 1827) was general, cavalry officer during the wars of the French Revolution and the First French Empire.

Located at No. 15, the Café des 2 Moulins was the place of shooting in 2001, of the  film by Jean-Pierre Jeunet  "Amelie Poulain", with as main performer Audrey Tautou.
