An English-inspired street in the heart of Montmartre :
Villa Léandre
, located at 25 avenue Junot, is consisted of typical houses Anglo-Norman.
At this point stood the Moulin des prés.

Charles Lucien Léandre (1862-1934) was an illustrator, lithographer, caricaturist, drawer and French painter.

 

Mansion-house of Francisque Poulbot, 13 avenue Junot.

Francisque Poulbot (1879-1946) was a drawer and  French illustrator. He is the creator of "Poulbot" , representing the Butte's kid.
He settled in Montmartre in 1921 and created the "République de Montmartre" with his friends Adolphe Willette, Forain and Maurice Neumont.

With the building of the avenue Junot in 1910, the Maquis disappeared.
