Place Marcel Aymé The Man Who Walked through Walls

Bronze sculpture by Jean Marais, opened in February 1982, representing "The Man Who Walked through Walls", hero of a novel by Marcel Ayme who lived in this place.
The novelist died in 1967 and was buried in the Cimetière Saint-Vincent.

was a French writer, author of plays, novels, stories and news.
Pass the wall that is part of a collection of short stories was written in 1943 and takes place in Montmartre. In 1950, this story was adapted into a film by Jean Boyer with, among others, Bourvil in the role of Leon Dutilleul  and Raymond Souplex in that of the painter Gen Paul.
